Why Choose Mercy Home?

About Us

Mercy Home is a Residential Care Facility For The Elderly with four locations that serve the Winchester and Murrieta Area. Mercy Home is committed to providing room, board, housekeeping, supervision, and personal care assistance with basic activities of daily living while maintaining their independence in a homelike environment.

Founded by a Registered Nurse, our four locations provide 24-hour care to ensure that all of your loved one's needs are met. Our community provides a supportive, comfortable, and secure environment where the care and attention that your loved one receives is unrivaled. Contrary to the environment of the nursing home, residential care facilities are tucked into regular neighborhoods. The family-like atmosphere is fostered by a high staff-to-resident ratio that provides the ability for residents to live independent active lives even if they require assistance getting dressed, walking or eating.

Mercy Home strives to cultivate an environment that feels like a home away from home. For more information about what Mercy Home can do and provide for you and/or your loved one, contact our experienced Administrator Cynthia Ajunwa @951-522-1128

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Residential Care Facility?

  • A Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) is NOT a nursing home. An RCFE--sometimes referred to as an "Assisted Living" (e.g., 16+ beds) or "Board and Care" (e.g., 4 to  6 beds)--is a facility that provides rooms, meals, housekeeping, supervision, storage and distribution of medication, and personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADL's) like  hygiene, dressing, eating, bathing and transferring. The smaller number of residents often assists in fostering a more personal, homestyle living environment

Is there a Nurse or doctor on duty?

  • RCFE's are not required to employ a full-time doctor or nurse but Mercy Home is owned by a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in elder care and a hands-on approach to resident care. Residents continue to see their own physicians.

Isn't it cheaper to have an in-home caregiver vs having my parent live in an assisted living?

  • Not necessarily. For a detailed breakdown and price comparison
